IVISTA China Intelligent Vehicle Index (hereinafter referred to as “Intelligent Index”) is the first global consumer-oriented fair, impartial, professional and authoritative third-party testing and evaluation system for intelligent connected vehicles that was established by CAERI in 2017 by carrying out interdisciplinary and diversified cooperation with Recall Center National Automobile Accident In-Depth Investigation System (NAIS), insurance, colleges and so on and in combination with research results of natural driving data and traffic accident data in China, under guidance of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers and China Society of Automotive Engineers, and based on the second national intelligent vehicle experimental demonstration area in China.

Guide product optimization of the vehicle enterprises, and assist with upgrading of intelligent driving technology
Promote transformation of automobile industry and support realization of national development strategy
Up to now, Intelligent Index has evaluated and issued evaluation results of more than 60 types of intelligent vehicles of nearly 40 brands in accumulation, covering above 90% of the hot-spot vehicle types that the consumers are concerned about. It has been included in technical development standards by more than 40 vehicle enterprises, and has been,included in global automotive safety development standards by CARHS, it has more than 20 independent core patents, published more than 30 papers, published 2 monographs, and supports research and formulation of more than 20 national, industrial and group standards, and relevant achievements.And it has won the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress of China Automobile Industry 2021.
The currently implemented Intelligent Index Rules is the 2020 Version, it has been implemented since April 1, 2021, and includes five sub-indexes i.e. Intelligent Safety, Intelligent Driving, Intelligent Parking, Intelligent Interaction and Intelligent Energy Efficiency. It has introduced “Intelligent Star” evaluation, and makes comprehensive rating according to evaluation results of the five sub-indexes, with the highest rating being “5-star Intelligence (★★★★★)”.
In the future, confronted with the trend of rapid intelligent and networked automobile development, Intelligent Index will strengthen and deepen the industrial contracts, continue to iterate the evaluation rules, innovate and research the evaluation methods for higher level intelligent driving vehicles, lead technological development of the industry, and promote the continuous improvement of core technology and innovation ability of the automobile enterprises in China.
